Touching down at Heathrow on a rainy Wednesday, we kicked off our British escapade with a skip and a hop into London. Cruising along the Regent’s Canal on a Waterbus from charming Little Venice to the eclectic Camden Town, we felt the buzz of the city. In Eastbourne, warm welcomes awaited from host families, leading to a day of discovery through a scavenger hunt. Friday saw us trekking Seven Sisters Cliffs, offering stunning views.
Saturday was devoted to iconic London sights, including Buckingham Palace and Shakespeare’s Globe, followed by diverse explorations in Chinatown and at Borough Market.
Sunday was a day of seaside serenity as we ventured to the vibrant coastal town of Brighton, basking in its eclectic charm and sandy shores. Monday transported us back in time to Hastings, where we channelled our inner historians while soaking up the sun (and maybe a little too much ice cream).
Tuesday featured beach activities and pub visits, and Wednesday culminated in a visit to Leeds Castle. As we bid adieu to Britain, our bags brimmed with memories, promising return visits to this captivating land. England, you’ve woven your charm into our hearts; until we meet again, cheers!
